Terms of Service

The rules for using Msh

Last updated: June 22, 2026

1. Agreement

These terms govern your use of the Msh audio plugin, the msh.audio website, and any related services (collectively, "Msh"). By creating an account or using Msh, you agree to these terms.

Msh is operated by Nlock Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom). If you do not agree to these terms, do not use Msh.

2. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

You may not create accounts for the purpose of abusing, spamming, or disrupting the service. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

3. The Msh plugin

Msh is a plugin host that allows you to load, chain, and modulate third-party audio plugins within a node graph. Msh does not claim ownership of or responsibility for third-party plugins you load.

You are responsible for ensuring you have valid licenses for any third-party plugins you use within Msh.

4. Purchases and pricing

Msh Standalone

Msh Standalone is a one-time purchase that grants you a perpetual license to use the Msh plugin. You keep the version you have at the time of purchase and can continue using it indefinitely.

Pricing changes

We may change our prices at any time. A price change applies only to purchases made after it takes effect and does not affect a licence you have already bought.

Refunds

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, contact us within 14 days at hello@nlock.studio and we will issue a refund. The 14-day refund window starts from the date of purchase. This does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

5. Meshes and user content

A "Mesh" is a signal chain configuration created in Msh. Meshes may contain audio preview recordings, plugin state and preset data, sampler configurations, and other embedded content. When you publish a Mesh to msh.audio, you retain ownership of your work.

By publishing a Mesh, you grant Msh a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute the Mesh on the platform. You can unpublish your Meshes at any time, which removes them from public visibility.

License to downloaded Meshes. When you download or open a Mesh from the Msh library, the publisher grants you a non-exclusive license to use that Mesh within Msh for your own music production, including in commercially released works. You may not redistribute, re-upload, or publicly share a downloaded Mesh (whether in original or modified form) without the publisher's permission. This license does not transfer ownership of any embedded content (such as audio samples, wavetables, or impulse responses) and does not override any third-party license restrictions that may apply to such content. Individual Meshes may be offered under different terms, including paid licenses, as indicated on the Mesh listing page.

A Mesh includes the saved state of every plugin in the chain. For effect plugins and synthesisers using factory presets, this is typically just parameter values. However, some plugins embed audio content (wavetables, samples, impulse responses) directly in their saved state. If you have loaded third-party content into a plugin, that content may be included in the Mesh file.

By publishing a Mesh, you represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights, licences, and permissions for every component of that Mesh, including any audio samples, wavetables, impulse responses, or other embedded content. You are solely responsible for ensuring your Mesh does not infringe any third party's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights, and does not violate the licence terms of any third-party preset packs or sample libraries.

Msh is a hosting platform. We do not review, curate, or endorse user-published Meshes, and we do not receive any revenue share or direct financial benefit from individual Mesh downloads or usage.

You agree not to publish Meshes that:

  • Contain malicious content or are designed to cause harm
  • Infringe on someone else's intellectual property, including copyrighted audio samples, presets, or other protected material
  • Violate any applicable laws

Repeat infringer policy

Msh maintains a policy for the termination of accounts belonging to repeat infringers. If a user's content is the subject of multiple valid copyright takedown notices, we may, at our sole discretion, suspend or permanently terminate that user's account. We evaluate each case individually, considering the number and nature of complaints, whether counter-notifications were filed, and any other relevant circumstances.

If your Mesh is removed due to a valid copyright complaint, you may not re-upload the same or substantially similar content. Doing so may result in immediate account termination under our repeat infringer policy.

Copyright infringement notices

If you believe that content on msh.audio infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, you may submit a notice to our designated copyright agent. Your notice should include:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
  2. The URL of the Mesh or content on msh.audio that you believe is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it
  3. Your contact information: name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law

US claimants (DMCA): if you are submitting a notice under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act, your notice must also include a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorised representative, and a statement made under penalty of perjury that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf. Our DMCA designated agent registration number is DMCA-1070661.

UK and international claimants: we comply with the UK Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002 and will act expeditiously upon receiving a valid notice of infringement under applicable law.

Send your notice to our designated copyright agent:

  • Mike Vercoelen, Nlock Ltd
  • 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom
  • hello@nlock.studio

We will review valid notices and remove or disable access to infringing content promptly. You may also report content directly from any Mesh page using the Report button.

Counter-notification

If your Mesh was removed due to a copyright complaint and you believe the removal was a mistake or that you have authorisation to use the material, you may submit a counter-notification to hello@nlock.studio with the following:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. Identification of the content that was removed and the URL where it appeared before removal
  3. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the content was removed by mistake or misidentification
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales (or, if you are located in the United States, the federal court for the district in which your address is located) and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original complaint

Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant. If the complainant does not notify us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the allegedly infringing activity, we will restore the removed content.

6. Plugin compatibility data

Published Meshes reference third-party plugins by name, vendor, and format. This metadata is used to show other users which plugins are required to load a Mesh. Publishing a Mesh that references a third-party plugin does not grant any rights to that plugin.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Msh plugin or its server infrastructure
  • Use Msh to distribute pirated software or circumvent copy protection
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
  • Use automated systems to scrape or overload the msh.audio platform
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation

8. Availability and updates

Msh is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We may at any time, without prior notice: release updates that change, add, or remove functionality; fix bugs in ways that alter existing behavior; modify or discontinue features; or change system requirements. We are not obligated to maintain backwards compatibility with previous versions.

You acknowledge that updates and bugfixes may affect your existing projects, workflows, or Meshes. Nlock Ltd is not liable for any disruption caused by changes to the software, including changes that alter or remove functionality you previously relied on.

9. Intellectual property

The Msh plugin, msh.audio website, and all associated branding are the property of Nlock Ltd. Nothing in these terms grants you rights to use the Msh name, logo, or branding for any purpose other than normal use of the product.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Nlock Ltd, its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to content you publish on msh.audio, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of any third party's intellectual property or other rights.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nlock Ltd is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Msh, including but not limited to: data loss, audio rendering issues, incompatibilities with third-party plugins, project corruption, or disruption caused by software updates.

Msh interacts with third-party audio plugins that run on your system. We are not responsible for crashes, audio glitches, or system issues caused by third-party plugins loaded within Msh.

You use Msh at your own risk. Our total liability for any claim related to Msh shall not exceed the amount you paid for Msh in the twelve months preceding the claim, or £50, whichever is greater.

12. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to Msh if you violate these terms, including under our repeat infringer policy described in Section 5.

Upon termination for a violation of these terms, your right to use Msh ceases and any licence keys associated with your account may be revoked. Termination for a violation does not entitle you to a refund for Msh Standalone. Any Meshes you have published will be removed. Data deletion follows our Privacy Policy.

If you choose to delete your own account, your Msh Standalone licence remains valid and the plugin continues to work locally.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

14. General

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. Nlock Ltd may assign or transfer these terms, including any rights and licences granted under them, without restriction. You may not assign these terms without our prior written consent.

15. Changes to these terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated through the msh.audio website. Continued use of Msh after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree with the revised terms, your sole remedy is to stop using Msh and delete your account.
